How Logan lost 27 pounds in 28 days!
“I went from being a tight size 38 to a loose size 36 by changing a few simple habits”
I had heard about the program from a co-worker who had done the program in the past and was talking about how she had felt so much better. I figured I didn’t have anything to lose and I knew I had to change something, so I decided to give it a try.
I really had no idea what to expect. I thought that to lose weight I would have to eat nothing but salads and meat for the rest of my life, which isn’t the case at all. The foods and recipes with the plan are straightforward, fairly easy to make, and very delicious. I can’t get enough of the quiche, and the stews and soups are great. I am surprised that I am eating more than I normally did before, and I am the smallest I’ve been since High School.
Plus, once I was feeling better from eating better, I had more energy and was more inclined to keep up with my workouts. In a short amount of time I was able to run faster and further in the same amount of time, and I was lifting more. Eating right really does make a big difference and I’ve noticed that when I fall off track my workouts feel harder and I just don’t perform or feel as well.
I learned what to eat, how much to eat, and it was good to get away from some of my bad habits like eating convenient processed foods. Sure there were sacrifices I’ve had to make. I decided to give up beer for the 28 days, which was a tough one (but it worked). I curl every Wednesday and it had just become a tradition to have a beer or two. I’ve learned that I can still do this occasionally but that I don’t need to do this on a weekly basis. It’s about being mindful of what I am consuming and how often, but at the same time just being able to enjoy life.
I feel better, my pants are all too big now, and I feel much stronger in the gym. I was never much of a runner but I started 6 months ago and I’ve signed up for my first half marathon this fall. I am excited to see where this healthier lifestyle continues to take me.
As far as winning, I really had no idea what I was getting into so I just kept an open mind and hoped for the best and for good results, and they happened. I recommend it to everyone, it’s such a great way to learn to eat properly.
