Linda is a role model for many of us - she always shows up determined and ready to work, gives it her best, and leaves energized and ready to tackle the day. Needless to say, she has put aside her excuses and aches and pains to take care of her health as she enters her golden years - proving to us all that it’s possible to be strong, fit, and healthy as you age.
Here are Linda’s Thoughts:
“I wanted to go into my senior years in the best shape I could.
Though I wanted to stay active and fit, I was a little hesitant to attend Encompass. I was worried about what people might think about my age.
I gave it a try and soon found out that there was no judgment at all. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and it was such a great atmosphere. I have met people that I want in my life for a very long time. I have to admit - I’m hooked!
And it’s not just the atmosphere, I have really learned a lot about my body. My core is so much stronger, and I am so much stronger in general. I have the energy to do the things I need to do, and I have more confidence in my ability to do them.
After each session, I leave Energized. I feel great. It feels so good to have sweat dripping off my nose, Seriously!! I know that I have worked hard and have given it my best. That's very important to me. I am never bored and I’m always excited and feel so good when I walk back out the door.
If you are older it might seem intimidating to start exercising, but I encourage you to please try. You will feel so much better.
…. Especially at Encompass, they are so helpful; there is no judgment and the trainers know what you can and cannot do and will make changes to suit you and what you’re comfortable with. They are very in tune with the body and personalize it for me; explaining the muscles and movements and help me to work with and understand my body.
I know that I am much stronger, have much more stamina, and am far more flexible. I truly wish that others my age could realize what flexibility does for the body and have the courage to try. I couldn’t be more pleased.”
Linda is a strong grandma who has no problem keeping up to her grandchildren, a role model for all ages, and incredibly strong and flexible.
Keep up the amazing work, Linda!!
