Festive Fall Treats

The leaves have fallen, the air is crisp, and the fireplace is on. Nothing says Fall quite like the sweet smell of fresh baking. Put your pumpkins to use with these delightful recipes from Shaklee; not only do they taste amazing, they are loaded with healthy probiotics and protein to give you an extra immunity boost and help preserve your lean muscle this cold season. 


Nutty & Salty Cookies

Ingredients:

2 scoops Vanilla or Café Latte Shaklee Life Energizing Shake         3 Tbsp. organic butter softened (or coconut oil)
2 Tbsp. organic sugar (coconut, cane, or raw brown sugar)
2 Tbsp. almond milk or water
1/4 cup almond meal
1/2 cup rolled oats (gluten-free)
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. Himalayan pink salt (or sea salt)
Optional: 1/4 cup your favourite mix-ins (dried fruit)

Directions:

In a bowl, cream butter, vanilla, and sugar using a spoon. Mix in remaining ingredients. Scoop 10-12 balls and place 2-3 inches apart on nonstick baking sheet. Press down each ball with a wet fork in one direction, then the other direction. Bake at 325° F in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Place on cooling rack for 10 minutes. Enjoy! 


Pumpkin Pie Shake

Ingredients:

2 scoops Vanilla or Pumpkin Spice Shaklee Life Energizing Shake   1 cup milk of choice
1 graham cracker
1/2 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/4 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
1/2 cup ice

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth and enjoy!

Optional: Add graham cracker crumbles and coconut whip cream on top.
